MY Story – Video ethnography
Bringing your consumers real behaviours, feelings and beliefs to life within an organization is a real challenge. We have developed a new way of working with consumers that puts them in charge of telling their stories via video ethnography. Given a briefing and a flip cam consumers take footage and narrate their own experiences and show us first hand their lives and the world they inhabit. Our research team then analyse the raw footage and produce their own commentary and final edit to showcase the key insights. This approach leads to richer insights as consumers feel more comfortable and candid telling their own stories and they take us to places that as researchers we would not have anticipated in a more traditional semi structured interview format.
